The following tournament will be held OVER THE BOARD. The tournament will be a qualifying tournament for Mangaung teams and will be rated with CHESSA. The location of the tournament is at Iris Hall, Show Ground, Curie Avenue, Bloemfontein.

A: 1100+ and all players 18 years and older.
B: 851-1100 (Only up to u18)
C: 600-850 (Only up to u14)
Beginners: 0-600 (Only up to u10)
(Sections may be combined if sections do not have enough participants.)
The following rules need to be complied to take part in the tournament:
- Our space is limited, therefore only a certain number of players will be allowed to enter. Entries will be online at www.mangaungchess.co.za . As soon as the maximum number of players is reached, the entries will close, even if it is before the final time and date otherwise entries will close on Thursday, 20 January 2022 at 12:00pm.

Account number: 4061586564 - It is compulsory to ALWAYS wear a mask during the event. You must clean your hands with the sanitizer provided, you may provide your own if preferred.
- No person will be allowed to leave the venue, even between the rounds. Once a person leaves the venue, they will not be allowed back in.
- A tuckshop will be available during the event for refreshments.
- No parents, teachers and coaches are allowed to enter the hall. We may only allow in a certain amount of people. Spectators, however, may sit outside following Covid-19 regulations.
- There will, be places to sit. You may bring along your own chairs.
- Pre-Screening should be done before the start of the tournament. If it is failed by a person, this individual will not be able to participate in the tournament and will be isolated.
- Please practice social distancing throughout the event. If an individual does not comply with Covid-19 regulations, they will forfeit their right to further participate in the event.
- All rounds will be “rate of play” and will start 5minutes after the last person in that section is done.
